Who is the Stargrass?
Stargrass is a hardy plant that is able to adapt to both hard and soft waters. It is perfect for the novice aquarist who wants a hardy plant that acclimatizes easily.
In terms of look, it quickly looks like a bush because it branches very quickly.
Note that it can also be suitable for paludariums.
Planting and maintenance
Planting and maintenance
How to plant and maintain the Stargrass?
Not very difficult as far as water parameters are concerned, it's mainly the light conditions that you will have to focus on to keep this species well. Indeed, it needs a strong luminosity to flourish. If there is enough light, it can grow quite fast.
Prune it regularly as it forms many leaves and can become invasive. Pruning will also allow light to reach the entire stem and bottom of the plant.

How to farm the Stargrass?
The cultivation of Heteranthera is rather easy. When pruning for maintenance, take a long stem (at least 10/15cm or 4/6") for cutting. Place it a little further away and the new plant should quickly take root.
